Forged from the front lines of the struggle, The Ghetto-bred Anarchist is an incendiary underground classic that burns bright with revolutionary wisdom. Hybachi’s hard-fought reflections and strategies show how we can liberate ourselves from within the cracks of capitalism.
"A call to action .. a modern-day George Jackson, with all the pain, anger, determination and soaring prose, but with the loving care of a genuine anarchist."
–Anthony Rayson
Black revolutionaries do not drop from the moon; we are created by our conditions, shaped by our oppression. We are being manufactured in droves in the ghetto streets.
–Assata Shakur
Hybachi LeMar is an incarcerated anarchist organizer from the Black Autonomy Federation in Chicago, and author of several books (The Anarchybalion, The Deprived and Depraved) and many zines (We Who Stand The Most, Soul Power). From behind bars he has continued to put out audio statements on his website HelpACompa.com, and has now published this new book. Hybachi was supposed to be released in October 2024 from IDOC, but was unfortunately picked up on an alleged parole violation warrant and is currently awaiting the board in Pennsylvania DOC.
