Walter Crane Postcard Set
Printed By: Radical Poster Collective
Set of eight (8) postcards of classic Walter Crane prints.
Walter Crane (1845 – 1915) was an internationally renowned illustrator and artist in the late 19th Century and early 20th with a clearly recognisable style. This is a set of eight of his designs reproduced at postcard size. Crane was an associate of William Morris, and part of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Much of his work was illustrating children’s books, but he was an active radical socialist, a member of the Socialist League, and produced many pictures supporting the international socialist and anarchist movements, notably cartoons printed in Justice, Commonweal and The Clarion.
The images on these postcards are either digitally cleaned up to remove tears or stains etc, or completely recreated to be as close as possible to the original. Postcards come in sets of 8 designs, with space on the back for a stamp and an address. The postcards are A6 size (approximately 4.1 by 5.8 inches) and (apart from the Spain set) are made of 350gm postcard board.
